Daniel Breeyear APRN, MSN, PMHNP-BC, BHCC

FOUNDER

As a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Daniel specializes in psychopharmacology, nutritional integration, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), along with proficiency in multiple therapeutic modalities. He graduated from Stony Brook University and is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide psychiatric treatment across the lifespan. Additionally, Daniel is Nationally Certified by the International Board of Undersea Medicine as a Functional Medicine Hyperbarics Clinician.

Daniel’s integrative approach to psychiatric care emphasizes treating each individual as a unique and unified whole, ensuring that all aspects of a person's health are addressed. His holistic perspective is a cornerstone of Eden Center Foundation, influencing our programs and services to support mental well-being comprehensively.

Beyond his clinical expertise, Daniel is a sought-after keynote speaker, sharing his knowledge on topics such as psychopharmacology, nutrition in psychiatry, and the mechanisms of disease states in psychiatric disorders. His dedication to education and advocacy helps to advance the conversation around mental health and reduce stigma.

In addition to his leadership at Eden Center Foundation, Daniel also serves as a professional business consultant for the pharmaceutical industry and advises health care organizations on practice optimization and the integration of psychiatric care.

    Shannon is dedicated to offering high-quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to inmates struggling with substance abuse and in need of rehabilitation. She possesses strong clinical skills, complemented by a natural ability to build rapport with incarcerated individuals and their families. Shannon adheres to evidence-based guidelines, enhanced by her clinical experience, personal observations, and intuition. She introduces integrative care options and wellness education during each assessment, utilizing a whole-person, inmate-centered approach to support recovery and reintegration.

  • Adam Smatko, LMSW

    JAIL CONSULTANT

    Adam is an experienced psychotherapist specializing in treating treating mood, anxiety, and depressive disorders and facilitating rehabilitation for inmates. He provides a safe, non-judgmental space for incarcerated individuals to explore the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors impacting their recovery. He works collaboratively with inmates to break unhealthy behavior patterns and develop a deeper understanding of their needs and desires.

    Jay is a Licensed Master Social Worker specializing in substance abuse rehabilitation within the jail system. With a commitment to providing compassionate and evidence-based care, Jay creates a supportive environment for inmates to address their addiction and mental health challenges. Jay’s dedication to helping inmates overcome substance abuse reflects his belief in the potential for change and growth in every individual.

  • Elyse Weaver, LMSW

    JAIL CONSULTANT

    Elyse is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a decade of experience in the field. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Springfield College. Elyse specializes in working with inmates in jails, addressing both chronic and acute mental health concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. She employs evidence-based approaches and various treatment modalities, believing in a person-centered approach that empowers individuals to create effective life changes with guidance and support.
